The Ijaza Program is a comprehensive series of integrated courses designed to master the art of Quranic recitation and the theory of Tajweed, leading to Ijaza Certification in recitation, as passed down through the chain of narrators leading to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). All courses adhere to the reading of Imam Hafs upon ‘Aasem, in accordance to the narration of Ash-Shaatibi. The program is divided into three categories: Introductory (Tamhidia), Advanced (Mutaqadima), and Ijaza Preparation. Each course gradually introduces increasing components of recitation, enabling students to become progressively more familiar with the Quran. Theoretical aspects are systematically introduced to ensure a thorough understanding of Quranic recitation and Tajweed. The program includes a memorisation component, ensuring students have a solid foundation in Quranic memorisation. This program not only trains students to specialise in Tajweed but also fosters a deep connection and love for the Quran. In line with the Prophetic Tradition, "The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it," this program aims to equip students with the skills to teach Quranic recitation.
The Kids Program aims to introduce and build a strong Quranic foundation for children aged 5 to 12 years. The Arabic alphabet, reading, and writing are introduced in an engaging and enjoyable manner. The Dawn Quranic Institute uses “The Bidaya” system, familiarising students with Quranic script and correct recitation. Emphasis is placed on creating a fun and encouraging environment to foster a lifelong love for the Quran. The program is enriched with fun days, picnics, and excursions throughout the year. Children who complete the program will have a strong foundation to continue to the Ijaza Program.
